Oracle iPad App

Did you know Oracle has their iPad app? It’s actually been released for quite some time, but I just recently got my hands on it and figured I’d write a little bit about.

About The App

The Oracle iPad app was originally released towards the end of last year, but if you’re familiar with how this company operates, you know they like to frequently make updates to their products. The Oracle iPad app is no exception, as it’s undergone several updates since its launch with the latest one being on June 28th.

If you’re interested in downloading this app, it’s important that you make sure it’s the right one. There are dozens of apps which pop up when you search for the keyword “oracle”. The official one is a free app by Oracle America Inc. I haven’t checked out any of the other ones, so I can’t vouch for their quality or reliability. Currently, the app has a 3 out of 5 stars rating with 112 votes. That’s probably not the best rating, but it’s certainly enough to show you that it’s the real deal.

What Does The Oracle App Do?

If you’re looking for an app to handle your data processing, you’ll have to look elsewhere. The Oracle app isn’t a data processing program, but instead it’s all the latest news and information about Oracle. Whether you’re looking for training videos, dates for Oracle trade shows, blogs or news, you can find it with the Oracle app.

When I first heard the Oracle app was going to be only news and industry-related information, I’ll be honest – I was a little disappointed. However, once I downloaded the app onto my iPad, I was pleasantly surprised at just how much content they give you, and for free. You’ll have a neat little scrolling menu off to the left where you can choose through categories such as “Featured”, “News”, “Java”, “Blogs”, “Events”, “Investor”, “Technology Network”, “Apps”, “Press” and “Support”. Once you click on a menu, you’re instantly taken to a page with up-to-date information pertaining to it.

Is The Oracle iPad Worth It?

Ever since I downloaded this app, I find myself constantly opening it to see what’s new in the world of Oracle. Even if they would have charged $5 bucks or more, I would probably still purchase and use the app. So I recommend getting the app while they’re still offering it for free. Like many app developers, they may decide to start charging for it one day.
